About Me
Growing up, I wasn't allowed to have a dog or a cat, however I think that experience helped shape me in determinate ways. So, when I turned 18, I rescued my very first kitten. When I saw those delightful squirms and that darling face with the little button nose, I was captivated and fell deeply in love. I knew I belonged to him and that I would go to great lengths to give him the best life. I named him Hendrix and he went everywhere with me. Hendrix and I went through young-adulthood together and he taught me about unconditional love, patience, and gratitude. He will always be one of the most important persons in my life.
Hendrix instilled in me a passion so commanding that I knew I was put on this planet to care and nurture other animals. He was the reason I decided to devote my life to caring for neglected and unwanted cats and dogs. I appreciate the role animals play in making life more full and rich, and I try to help others find their passion for animals.
In 2009 I started volunteering for rescues and animal sanctuaries and thanks to the excellent mentoring of those charitable organizations, I gained valuable insight on how to properly care for other peoples beloved friends.
In the years that I have worked as a volunteer director and pet sitter, I have adopted the necessary skills to care for the disabled, sick, elderly, newborns, and work with a wide range of behavioral issues. I know how intelligent and emotionally sensitive animals can be, and how their lives can teach us to appreciate the small moments in life. I believe that every cat and dog is unique and extraordinary and if you allow me to be your friends care-taker, I promise to create a lasting relationship with you and your companion.
